Thijs Kuiken (Erasmus MC) showed the phylogenic research results to track the most probable route the Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) N5H1 virus took from Europe to North America in 2021. And subsequently spreading onto the continent by wild birds or in poultry. Dr. Mariëlle van Toor (Linnæus University, Sweden) talked about research, technologies and models for tracking bird mobility.
