Invitation – NCOH Annual Scientific Meeting, 30 May 2018

With great pleasure, we invite you to the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Netherlands Centre for One Health (NCOH). The meeting is aimed at researchers from our Partners and Associates that are involved in all the NCOH Strategic Research Themes. We particularly encourage young researchers (PhD students, postdocs) to join this meeting. The event is free of charge, but registration is required.


Phage therapy for when antibiotics stop working?

On 22 February, an international symposium was organized on the possibilities of phage therapy in the treatment of patients with infections due to resistant bacteria.


Proposals for the NCOH research programme 2018 are welcome

The NCOH wants to build a research programme which sharpens the NCOH profile and increases scientific production of the NCOH during its first mandate period. This goal is reached by accelerating the investments of NCOH Partners.


TOP subsidies from ZonMw for continuing research into the relationship between livestock farming and health

People who live near livestock farms have an increased risk of pneumonia. In areas with many livestock farms, the presence of a farm can explain up to 20% of all lung infection cases, but the pathogens responsible are as yet unknown. Researchers from Utrecht University’s Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences, Erasmus MC, and UMC Utrecht have joined together to study the possible causes of this condition.


NCOH Student Travel Grant

The NCOH awards a number of travel grants to PhD students of NCOH Partners selected to present their abstract at an international One Health-related academic conference.
