Global One Health, Past, Present and Future, Wageningen

In our globalizing world with changing life-styles and new disease threats, safeguarding health in the broader sense is an important challenge. Join the discussion at the Global One Health symposium 24 October 2019 in Wageningen.

Involving all disciplines

To improve our approaches towards preventing diseases, our research communities and policy makers are more and more convinced that we need to consider all kinds of interactions. Interations between human health, animal health, plant health and the environment, and icluding climate change, food safety and security, social changes, economic development and trade etc.

This requires novel more intensive interaction between scientific disciplines. The Wageningen University & Research (WUR) Global One Health research theme started in 2015. Since that year we have produced a number of interesting research outputs, but we are also facing important new challenges.
